The type of "house" identified in this book, besides the traditionally domestic dimension, is determined by the possibility to get in touch with the "angel", a symbolic figure of modernity, and with everything, though, he represents today. As a point of view different, out of the ordinary schemes, as a mediator of different realities and dimensions, a communicator of everything resulting intangible according to his nature, the angel synthesizes tensions, necessities, contradictions, certainties and uncertainties of the contemporary man.

The angel's house, though, is a house of research, recognition, discovery, identification, "a set of "spaces" where man operates an integration process of all his sensorial, emotional, mental components".

The rooms composing this one also carry out some functions like knowing, imagining, dreaming, thinking, expressing, praying, meditating, "its spatial and formal dimension creates a set of relations at more levels that determine the most suitable conditions for the living activities expected.

The book, through the different materials (essays, projects, works, documents, examples, ...) lay some questions and interrogations on the type of consciousness pervading the present man, on his living "space" and, especially on his house (individual microcosms and representation of a personal macrocosms), revealing a living philosophy directed more than ever towards the looking for poetic dimensions, metaphors, interactive relations between man and space, connections between things, wellbeing, new meanings and signs recognising the necessity, for man, of finding an own place in the "infinite".

The research is also directed to the definition of new approaches and modalities for the conception and the practise of an architectural and artistic design that entrusts to the angel the conceptual role of "making himself a concrete instrument of the project in the double condition of exploring the original space of living on earth and of getting the invisible inexhaustible reflection of architecture."
